We must admit that there are parts of the Bible that one might find difficult to understand. While God wrote it, he used human authors. These authors used a different language and were living in varying historical and cultural contexts. The essential messages of the Bible are, however, very clear and without dispute.
Yes, the Bible clearly teaches this. Jesus said that He was
the only way to the Father (John 14:6).
Christians believe He was the Son of God (John 8:58; Exodus
3:14), who forgave sins (Mark 2:5; Luke 5:20; 7:48) and who rose from the dead
(Luke 24:24-29; John 2:19).
Buddha didn't rise from the dead, nor did Confucius. Muhammad
didn't fulfill detailed prophecy, while Jesus did. There is far less reliable
information written about them.
Many religions believe that Jesus existed, that He was a
good man, even that He was a prophet, but they don't believe that He was God's
Son. Try explaining the fact that Jesus did miracles that only God could do and
that He was proclaimed to be God by the prophets and His own followers and that
He proved who He was by His resurrection. You also might want to check out
these scriptures:
God is creator - Isa. 44:24 Jesus is creator - Col. 1:15-16
God is savior - Isa. 43:11 Jesus is savior - Titus 2:13
God is the "I am" - Ex. 3:14 Jesus is the "I
am" - John 8:58
Very good question. We've discovered that developing certain habits help to insure that we're always growing in our walk with the Lord. This is explained in more detail on the "PROGRAMS" page. Check it out.
